Volunteers are still needed. See where you can be of service below!

The Fellowship Committee of the Three Legacies Convention has stewardship of the Eleventh Step Room, a place of serenity set apart for prayer and meditation. We invite conventioneers to dedicate themselves to a “shift” in the Eleventh Step Room to pray for the convention in whatever manner they feel led.

These volunteers assume solely a responsibility to pray. We are not there to monitor the room or its guests. Simply pray, however you pray, for the Three Legacies Convention in whatever aspect you are led to pray.

There is a suggestion to sign in anonymously. The importance is that a “shift” is covered, not who is covering it. Also, there is no limit how many are committed to any particular “shift”. God will determine that as we are led, so add your commitment to any shift no matter how many others already have.

Your attention will bless us all, we assure you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can I expect at the convention?
A: A wonderful spiritual atmosphere of recovery and fellowship!  A variety of recovery programs will be available.  These include “plenary” speakers from SA and SAnon, who will have very powerful messages- these talks follow dinner Friday and Saturday, and lunch on Saturday.  Conference participants who do not take meals at the convention will be welcomed into the room for the talks.  The day will be filled with breakout sessions along several tracks of various interest.  Some open meetings will be held which will welcome folks from both fellowships- especially popular have been couples recovery sessions.  A fellowship room will be available for snacks, schmoozing, and chillaxing.  There will be a meditation room, quiet rooms for writing, a room for sponsorship activities.  Temporary sponsors will be available for newbies.   There is plenty of opportunity for service.

Q: What about anonymity?
A: The traditions are respected- thus, anonymity is strongly maintained, name tags have only first names and initial.  Name tags identify which fellowship a participant is in.

Q: How many people will be there?
A: We are hoping at least 700 people will participate.

Q: Are there other meetings in the area?
A: Yes.  Please visit any of the following sites to get more information:

* www.sanon.org/meetings/meetinglocations.html
* www.sa.org/meetings.php

Q: Can I come even if I’ve never been to a meeting before?
A: Absolutely!   Certain breakout sessions will specifically target newcomers, and temporary sponsors will be available to help get you started!

Q: What if my partner is in another 12-step S program (but not S-Anon or SA) can s/he come?
A:  For SA, the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober.  For SAnon, The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of sexaholism in a relative or friend.

Q: What is the attire?
A: The Nashville SA and SAnon fellowships request that participants dress in a way unlikely to trigger others in either fellowship.  We interpret this to mean no shorts, short skirts, and tank tops.  The Sheraton will be climate controlled!

Q: What if I can’t attend the conference?
A: Many of the sessions will be recorded and CDs will be available following the conference from Lee’s Tapes and CDs www.leestapesandcds.com

Q: Can I bring my children to the convention?
A: For convention activities, only registered S-Ateens (ages 12 to 19 years) are allowed, including all hotel areas where convention meetings take place.  Nursing babies also are not allowed in convention meetings or meeting areas.  However, you are welcome to bring your children to stay with you in the hotel, and they are welcome to use the hotel facilities.
